Faculty are available to provide academic counseling to students who may need additional guidance to maintain satisfactory progress in their coursework. Students will be encouraged to develop a structured plan to meet their educational objectives and then to utilize other resources to help reach these goals. All students are encouraged to seek counseling from the University’s Faculty, and those students whose academic performance warrants it are requested to meet with the Dean of their department. The academic counseling process self-assessment includes discussion and advice regarding students' approach to their studies, as well as the provision of appropriate learning resources that foster self-help. Professors at Northern California University have the responsibility to provide academic counseling to students and have reasonably accessible and convenient times provided to students at the beginning of each course.
